I have been working for the same company now for about 3 years now and i get on really well with my male boss.

over the last 12 months we have had a laugh and joke throughout the day and pinching one anothers bottoms and making inuendoes to one another as laugh.

The problem i have is that things have progressed futher than we both expected them to and we are now both at the point where we want to make love.

Whats wrong with that? i hear you say..... well..... he has a partner of 26 years and has two teenage children, i have a partner of 12 years and no children, we both love our existing partners but this chemistry between us is coming to boiling point and i really want to make love to him and i know he feels the same way.

Can any one give me thier honest and sensible opnion cause my head is all over the place at the moment

Been there, done that...(although not with a boss)...and trust me NOBODY wins, but EVERYBODY gets hurt. Not to mention you live with the guilt of hurting all of those people for the rest of your life. It's just not worth your honor, or your peace of mind.

Being adult, and accepting responsibility also means being big enough to say no, when you could just "take the candy".

My advice, don't do anything you don't want coming back to you 10 times over.

You have to ask yourself the question, "Is it really worth risking everything you both have with your current partners, for a quickie in the office over the filing cabinet?"

The problem with affairs is that they start off great, but then there's usually a point somewhere down the line when one of the parties involved has deep regrets about the whole thing.

If you did have sex with your boss, it's unlikely to be a one-off and then there's the possibility of one of you asking the other to leave your partner, etc, etc.

I would calm it down with your boss and take out your pent up sexual lust on your partner of 12 years. You can always pretend you're doing it with the boss if you like. ;)

First of all, you don't want to make love to him...you just want to have sex with him. Passionate sex is not the same as making love. But you know this as you are in a 12yr relationship. So, here's how I see it (as has been on here already)...go for it, but when you do, be prepared to find another job. In fact, you would probably be better off finding a new position now. You've already crossed a line that can't be uncrossed. I know these things happen. Hey, we're human. May as well scratch that itch before jumping ship.

not only is your head all over the place at the moment, but your legs are also open all over the place! Your both married. Common sense that having sex with someone else other than your spouse is CHEATING, infidelity, adultery. Neither of you have any business being married anymore if your going to sleep with each other. Think about your spouses & your children, you will be hurting them.

I really don't understand why you would be eager to disrupt the lives and futures and love of the OTHER people involved. It is a bit selfish, in my opinion, to go out of your way to satisfy an urge that is temporary and disturb the relationships that other folks think are permanent. I wish you well and hope that you make the correct decision.

Who cares if neither of you are actually married?! You made a life with your "partner". It is still considered cheating, even if you aren't married. If you do, karma will come right back to you and bite you in the a$s.

You are both being very foolish. Odds are you will end up losing everything you have and then have to start all over in life. Once you lose your husband's trust, you won't get it back. Your kids will side with him and turn against you. Odds are you will end up alone, looking for a new job.
