I really want a myspace. I am old enough and I know how to be safe with one. How could I ask my parents so I could get one?

Show them the "private" function, all of the safety warnings, and like do something good to let them think you are responsible. (Extra Chores, not be on a lot, not give out your info). You should also talk to them about an "internet safety contract." My parents made me one for RuneScape.
It pretty much says "I won't do xxx and xxx, and if I do, then my MySpace/whatever you want will be taken away."
They probably will like this idea, and it gives a good reason not to!
By the way, don't make one if they say no. That will probably get you in serious trouble with them.

Tell your parents you would like a Myspace, tell them you will keep your site private and only accept people you know as friends. And really do it, I'm sure you will get a lecture on how to be safe. Good luck and be smart.

Don't ask. Myspace is one of the worst ways to waste time.

just ask and tell how you will always have it set to private so only your friends can see it and you just want it for talking to the friends you dont have the chance to talk to everyday
