It's an interesting question. I won't compare clemens to Bonds, as there is clearly more evidence on him, but why does everyone bash Sosa, but ignore the Clemens allegations?

Sosa peaked in his late 20's, and declined in his late 30's - Like most athletes do. Clemens was on the decline, then hired an alleged steroid dealer as his personal strength coach, and went on to become the next Walter Johnson. Sosa was never linked to the steroid scandal in anyway possible. Clemens, on the other hand, was fingered by two former major league players, and his personal strength coach allegedly dealt steroids to Grimsley and Segui. Infact, Segui has acknowledged on the record that Brian Mcnamee ( Clemens strength coach), referred him to a source where he obtained boatlods of steroids, greenies, and HGH.

Is the reason why Clemens get a free pass because he's white? Is Sosa being unfairly treated because he's hispanic?

You present a good question, but ultimately I think it is less about race and more about he position that Clemens plays. It seems like pitchers would be less likely to want to do steroids because of the large risk of injury that is incorporated with steroid use. Throwing a baseball overhand is such an un-natural movement as it is, pitching a ball as hard as Clemens does would make an injury risk high enough without doing steroids.

It's difficult to play the race card with Sosa when McGwire (about as white as you can get) is getting scrutinized just as heavily as Sosa. After all, Sosa did go in front of Congress and have a temporary lapse in his ability to use the English language. Sosa will always be heavily scrutinized, as will McGwire, for his unwillingness to answer questions in front of Congress.

There have been some whispers about Clemens, but for the most part pitchers in general have been overlooked in the steroid talk.

If some evidence comes out about a pitcher, I would guess that might open the gates to suspicions.

You can't be serious, but Im gonna answer anyways..Remember a fella by the name of Mark Mcgwire, who was not voted into the Hall of Fame, due to the "scrutiny" of steroids? I'm pretty sure he is a caucasian. Remember the debate about performace enhancers during his home run chase? Or, how about the "scrutiny" around jason giambi? You, my friend are obviously the racist one to bring up such things. Stop thinking so much about race and more about how certain individuals, white, black and hispanic, have cheated us, their families and most importantly the game.

Sadly, it might be due to race.
