Yes. The first time I experienced it, I felt like I was in a dream, so to speak. With all the people around me talking, I still felt alone even when someone would smile at me I did not feel included. What's more, nothing inspired me to do so. I had to work at mingling with other people. After awhile the lonely feeling went away.

Very much so sweetie. In many ways one can feel MORE alone in a crowd. With people around, ya see the thousands of interractions, but are'nt a part of any of em. Highlights the isolation better than if there's no-one around to talk with.

Yes, but mainly at Christmas time when I am surrounded by my husbands family. My family is all gone now and I watch my husbands family having fun and sharing little family nuances which I can never experience in my life again. I feel so little and left out!
Actually, the only time I am recognized is when I take the turkey out of the oven and place it on the table! Other than that, I might as well be Casper!!

Yes. If you don't know anyone, you are alone. Sometimes a crowd can make you feel more lonely than when you are by yourself.

with others You are alone. As humans we are always alone within ourselves even when we are with someone. Please understand that being alone does not necessarily mean you are lonely. People connect only momentarily with each other and the rest of the time we are alone within ourselves. Perhaps that is where the cliche 'You must love yourself beore others can love you' came from. Don't let the alone thing bother you, learn to live well within your own skin and then you can live well with others.

Of course. I felt that way when one of my ex-really good freinds was flirting (just to be spiteful and hateful, the b****!) with my dream guy, who also happens to be my best friend. It made feel hurt and betryed, and I have never felt more alone than that in my entire life.

Sadly...Yes
Sometimes I feel more alone in a crowd more than when I do when I am really alone.

Unfortunately yes!
But if we consider two distinct communities of the poor and the rich, then it's evident that how much cynical the latter are becoming!
It is kind of sad gift of capitalism.
