I don't think anyone is SMARTER than another person. It depends on how hard the person actually works. I believe that girls are just trying harder at this point to prove they can make it, do to the years of females being shown as flighty, ignorant, (and weak?).

As a whole, girls are not smarter or dumber than boys. However, girls tend to try harder than boys academically.

I would say that males and females have the same amount of intelligence, it's just that most girls work harder and put their intelligence to good use.
