Ok, it's true, USA does do that (USA, not America, "America" includes the whole continent).
Sometimes it's only about money a.k.a oil, a.k.a Bush.
Yet, other times it has been with good reason, that reason being helping those that don't have the power to help themselves.
I'm not from the US, and I don't live there either.
I live in Costa Rica, I don't like Bush, and I have a Democrat/liberal mind. If Costa Rica were to (this is complete fiction) be attacked by terrorists, I'm pretty sure the US would be the first and _maybe_ only ones to come and help. In my mind, it's a good thing.
By the way, I'm european (if it matters at all).

The reason is because our government, our politicians are bought and paid for by the privately owned overseas Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve has funded all wars since World War I. The Federal Reserve is especially interested in the Middle East because they want to get their foot in the door with those countries so they can finance them, and print their money.

It doesn't. You're operating under a presumption of reinforced lefty "hate America first" propaganda.

We normally do mind our own business. If you would pay attention in history class, you would soon discover that America is traditionally isolationist. That is the posture of INDEPENDENT NATIONHOOD. We only become involved when the maniacs of the world or the inept inaction of world governing bodies (UN in Yugoslavia, Somalia and Lebanon) drag us into the fray. We don't seek these situations, we want you guys to work out your own problems, that way you can take the credit. But if you don't act and make our lives miserable, day after day after day, well somebody is gonna have to go and bust some heads.

Believe me, America doesn't /like/ to do that, at all. The USA has actually always had a strong isolationist streak. It takes something like the threat of nuclear anihilation durring the Cold War, Pearl Harbor, or 9/11 to get Americans to concern themselves with international politics.

Because other countries decisions DO affect the USA.

A hard line government (like Iran) is not as amenable to making business deals with the USA as a moderate government (like the UK) might be.

That's the theory, anyway.

Gaddafi would not own Libya. the folk of Libya "own" Libya. there is no inherent authentic of a dictator to stay in power. the easy actuality that the folk of Libya choose him long previous makes it authentic to do what has been accomplished so some distance a minimum of from a international point of view. although I do have some concerns concerning the shortcoming of congressional acclaim for this and the place it ought to flow interior the long term, it is not a valid argument against launching missiles into Libya.

Not really but we are the #1 Financial Aid provider world-wide. If you were giving money or aid to someone don't you think it should come along with restrictions? They do let the United Nations decide in most situations. However sometimes the UN doesn't act, i.e. Dafur how many people have to be killed or displaced for people to care about Africa?
