Off life? I mean seriously I do enjoy getting high off weed and liqour and alcohol as well as painkillers from time to time but I know I'm probably hurting people who care about me. What's a good way to stop getting high? I mean is it really wrong to get high? Would it be better to get high off of life? These are somethings I ask myself daily.

Let me ask you this. Do you remember the last time you laughed. I don't mean just like a chuckle cause something was funny. But I mean that kind of laugh were you lean back and can hardly catch your breath because you are laughing so hard kind of funny. Where your neighbors come running saying...... "What?? What is it???"

Seriously....... the chemical effect that laughing has is unlike any high that weed or liquor or meds could ever give you. Trust me. Seriously..... there are so many of us around here that get together and talk and IM and just laugh our heads off until we feel like idiots. Come on.... come join in on the fun and I swear...... it'll fill that void that makes you think you need that other stuff. Pretty soon.... you're going to get addicted to laughing and to friends that you realize that THAT is what getting high off life is all about. Come on...... wanna give it a try?

Depends on why you are getting high. I get high to have fun and to relax. But it all so relieves the presure in my eyes. I also drink beer every night and sometimes both dont mix well with me. I can get pretty emotional. Pills I do not do/ Im afraid of what it might do to me and wined back in the hopital. That wouldnt do me or my family any good. so to help you get off the pills just drink beer leave the liqour alone and and get high. I for one can not drink liqour at all ! I get mean and want to fight every one that said one word wrong to me . So I hoe this helps some. Hang in there.

i smoked for 2 years, and I have been sober for 2 years. I realize I have become actually dumber and my memory is worse so I hate myself for that. I do still crave it because when your bored you wanna do it cuz it is an instant "fun time" toy. But totally worth being off it cause the people who care about you will appreciate it. Also I feel better as a person for not doing it anymore, I know if my fiance didn't make me quit I never would have and would have become a big loser. But you better find something (hobbie, girlfriend, sport) to fill the time that you would usually use to get high or you'll just keep doing it.

A good way to stop getting high is to stop, and have the people you know you are hurting to help you do just that. Getting high off life is far better, than missing it all together. Finding new friends who get high off life, would be an asset to you. You control the outcome of your life, and must decide how important that is to you. It takes maturity and responsibility to accept change. The day for that change will either be hindered or enhanced with meaningful commitment. Thanks for asking.

A couple questions to ask yourself~~~ Do you love your Parents, and those around you that support you? Do you love yourself? If you happened to answer yes to either of the questions, then you need to stop hurting them as well as yourself in polluting your body and killing much needed brain function. NO it is not ok to get high off of illegal substances. Are there small children in your family? How would you feel if some jerk off the street offered one of them some drugs on the playground? Do you have a sister? How would it make you feel if someone took her to a party gave her drugs, she passes out, and they have their way with her? How would it make you feel if someone driving drunk ran into someone you care about and that person lost his/her life because of someone elses self centered thought process? Drugs/Alcohol impair your reactions to reality. Innocent lives lost forever. Think about it. Now is getting high really worth it???

I think in your best interest, it would be wise to stop. I have seen people who have depended on drugs in order to get high. I don't know what happens to them. But it seems along the way there was some brain damage. They no longer act talk and do normal things. They look like some one with brain damage of some sort. Today while shopping I saw a guy like that. I felt sorry for him. All he did was blabber on like some sort of idiot and the lady that was with him. Had like an embarrassed expression on her face. It was obvious that at one time he had been a heavy drug user. And now had permanent brain damage do to it. Years ago I had a conversation with a man who could not stop drooling. He was constantly wiping the edge of his mouth. He explained that it was do to after affects of having been an addict. You should seek professional help before you do irreversible damage to yourself.

High on life is much better. Then you get to make fun of the idiots out there who are acting stupid b/c they are high on drugs and alcohol. Plus you get to remember what you did.

Well, for starters it's really bad for your body.
You could end up dying, which might make friends and family sad.
You could also get into an accident and kill someone else.

Best thing is to stay away from all sorts of drugs. And keep the alcohol levels low.

Cheers!

There are programs to help you quit... Narcotics Anonymous and the like....

In the meantime, what made you happy before you started doing drugs? Did you play any sports? Read books? Work on your car or garden??? If you can't think of anything that really pleased you, try doing something new.

Life is a great high....I wrote off booze and only pill for a bonified medical reason. Go ahead and roll a doobie then go outside for a walk, smile at nice looking strangers and see what life can bring.
