I guess we've got a little in common. I crew for a guy in Upstate NY who races a Jim Bernhisel Lazer III BRC late model. We've had our share of chassis tuning problems until last week when the thing sailed of to what looked like a feature win when the upper Afco urethane third link broke off at the end. It didn't bend it was a fracture. There are only two ranges of motion on these things, pushing together under braking and pulling apart under acceleration. It's a torque cushion of sorts.

This particular car is allowed only to have a Ford 9" rear with clamp on coil over brackets. Birdcages are not allowed. We can use a J bar and three links to attach the rear with three links only. It must also have a stock 70-75 Camaro / Firebird front clip and the the remainder can be round or rectangular tubing. The motors are all 358 - 360 Chevy's, any iron ported head your choice of intake manifolds and we're limited to a 500 cfm Holley. Which is a good thing because of the little 10 inch Hoosier track tires required.

The chassis rolls over in the corners and the left rear oscillates well forward in the corners. They race Dirt sanctioned 358 modifides, 4 cylinder's, street stocks and Trucks.

There are several companies who build these late models: Ed Carley, Rocket, Larry Shaw, Masters Built, Bob Close and there are others that I'm not familiar with.
