I'm thinking of buying those 4x8 cementboard panels that are like waterproof plasterboard, then cut them to size and replace all this wood that gets damaged easily.

I really like Hardi Plank products. You can buy soffit material in 12, 16, 24, 32, and 48 in widths, twelve feet long. A perforated soffit is available. For the fascia boards use Hardi trim boards.

This is a great product once installed, but can be difficult to deal with. It is brittle, and requires care full handling. You will need a diamond blade to cut it, and the dust is something else. Invest in a good dust mask.

How about a novel idea. Call a local company, they send someone out to actually see the amount of damage, and then the person gives you a quote. How do you expect a price when we have no idea of the damage, where you are , and what labour/material costs are where ever you live in the world?
