I posted an immigration question here, in the politics section. Yahoo removed my question. I've been trying to get an answer as to why for two weeks now, with no result. Can honest open discussion exist, if unpopular ideas are censored?

if this was the government they would not be able to infringe on your right of free expression.

Since it is Yahoo they can and do censor.

Yes, I was censored for questioning the validity of a question posed by a troll who later left one of the most racist comments I have ever seen on Yahoo! I have yet to see that individual dealt with in the same manner that I was dealt with (pulling of my commentary). True discourse can not exist if people are dealt with in an inconsistent manner.

Of course Yahoo censors questions. All corporations are involved in some sort of censorship

No. It's the people on here who are responsible for removing questions.

Beyond that, it is a private institution not the govt thus it cannot censor.

yes, if you think that any website you go to doesn't practice some sort of censorhip, then you're deluded

their servers, THEIR rules.
they dont have to give you a reason as to why they will delete questions and keep others up.

dont like it, go somewhere else.

I bet your question was more crude or offensive then you think. Remember, you're asking a question - not making a statement. Big difference.
