Flames of all colours licking around logs in the fireplace--leaping to the chimney. (Not too roaring, please.) Changing images I see in the flames, fantasies that curl & morph from one thing to another.

First, I think about emails and message boards. Some people just live off of flame wars and flaming each other.
Then I think about effeminate homosexuals who are out to get attention. They are real flamers.
Then I think of more conventional meanings such as fire, matches, and stoves.
