All my male friends seem skeptical about my boyfriends proposal. They say its because he either feels guilty about something, or he wants to test my level of commitment. These friends of mine have not met my boyfriend, nor have they ever talked to him so its not like they have inside info.

Why are they so skeptical?

I have asked them, they cant seem to give much of a reason except to say thats how ALL guys feel and why they propose.

We have already been living together since October, and I just had his daughter in March. The idea all along was to eventually get married. Now we're looking for the engagement ring together so he can officially pop the question (however he already consider us engaged)

how close are your male friends maybe they are feeling a little threatened, things change when you are in a serious relationship, friendships etc. maybe they are feeling a bit jealous of your man. The best thing to do is think about what you want not what makes your friends happy cause if they are good friends your happiness is what is important and if he is not the wonderful man your hoping for then its your fiends job to help you through it then not try to prevent you from being hurt as that stuff happens, relationships are often hard work and you need your friends support not their drama.

Your male friends obviously have no clue about commitment. Are any of them married? They're probably still in the "I'm too scared of commitment to ever pledge myself to another human being" phase.

Blow 'em off and don't let them get to you. If you know it's right with this guy, then it is.

Could be a number of things, can't be specific without details. However, as I say before, in order to ruin a great relationship, get married.

You know once you have a child out of wedlock, who really cares if you get engaged? You live with this guy, you have a child with him, but yet you have never introduced him to your friends? How does that work?

Basically they are upset about your situation being so different then theirs....and they don't understand it and it could perhaps scare them that they may lose you.
