Do not use a tampon if you think your water is leaking. I leaked water for almost a week and never noticed it. I was 9 months pregnant w/ my 1st I thought I just had to pee a lot. You need to go to your ER asap and get tested to see if its your water or not. Because you can very sick if you get an infection. I ended up having to have an emergency c-section because neither me or my doctor realized what was going on. They noticed it on my ultrasound. Good luck

If you go to the hospital they can put a ph stip up to the "moisture an tell you if it is amniotic fluid. DO NOT use a tampon! If your water has broke, the tampon could get stuck up there. There is no such thing as a water bag just "leaking" if there is a hole in your amniotic sack then your water has broken and you are going to have that baby. Bottom line, if the dripping is that bad then there is a 99.9% chance you are about to have a baby. Congrats and Good Luck!

no, you're not supposed to wear at tampon ANYTIME during your pregnancy. The best way to find out is to go to the Doctor, nobody on YA! can tell you if your water is leaking. Go asap, cause this could be a serious problem. Wear a pad, but no tampons!!

I would not use a tampon. But if you are leaking and your too early to deliver and it sounds like you are leaking, then you should see your doctor. My membranes were leaking at 28 weeks and they wanted to induce or do a c section, i wouldn't let them. Now, after I've done research i realize how lucky i am that my baby is OK.

Inserting ANYTHING into your vagina once your water has broken or started leaking ups your chances of infection. DONT DO IT.

Like the first poster said.. put on a pad and see your Dr. They will take a sample of the liquid and look at it under a microscope to see if its amniotic fluid or not.

Only way is really have a doctor take a look to see or test the liquid to see what it is. AND no do not use a tampon! Thats almost the worst thing to do while pregnant!

If you go to the doctor or hospital they have a little tab that they put there and if it is your water leaking it will change color. That's the only way to know for sure. Good luck!

dont use a tampon!! best idea, take off your panties and walk around your room, or down the hall (if privacy permits) and if anything runs down your leg at all, its your water. call your doc asap, they can also test it (even whats on your panties) and make sure if its amniotic fluid and if youre still early, they can do something to seal it back up if its not a big leak. you may also be put on bedrest too./ good luck!!

Do not use a tampon, if you are leaking it could push in bacteria.

Your doctor can do a simple test to see if the fluid is amniotic fluid or something else.
