Everybody has the right to be 'alone',..........
But, i must admit, i`ve lived life as a loner, enjoyed my own company and solitude.
And in all honesty, do, experience the odd pangs of loneliness and longing.

On the rare occasion when I feel lonely or bored - I consider that an opportunity to think of something helpful I can do for someone else - buy them a small gift online, do a chore for them, help them with a problem or even just call someone who doesn't have a lot of friends or family.
By the time I have done this - it has taken me outside myself and I feel MUCH better. And the other person benefited from it too.

No, I enjoy my own company. When the house is quiet and all I can hear is the clock - ah bliss!!!! I love making him go out - to the pub or fishing. If, on the rare occasion to do get lonely. I go and wander down the sea front somewhere. Or turn up on a mates doorstep. Only to hear what a crap day they had and the kids are driving them mad, the washer broke down. on and on and on

Yes it does, but it also makes ME think of people all around the world who may be sat alone in their room....then I think, is it raining there, what job do they do, what do they do in their spare time etc etc and before you know it, you find you're not really alone at all. There's thousands of like minded souls out there just waiting for you to say hello. QA reaches many of em, and so will your question. So for a time at least, we all find somewhere to belong.

I like the peace and quiet of being alone sometimes. Probably because my life is full of poo.
