OK so i have this computer (e machines T2460). like 3 days ago it was working fine, and now today when i tried to turn it on it wouldn't turn on(nothing would turn on, No fan, Light, or Sound or anything, like if it was off) So I thought it might be the power supply so i changed it. When i had finish installing it and tried to turn it on it still wouldn't turn on. So i know its not the power supply. So then i check if all the cables were connected properly and they were i even dusted out the little dust it had and used contact cleaner spray on the inputs of the mother board. Then again i tried to turn it on but it still wouldn't turn on. So then again i tried to turn it on with the side cover opened to see if at least a light turned on in the mother board but nothing.
I know its not a virus or that something is not install correctly.
Could it be my motherboard that it got fried? How can i fix it?
Or could it be something else?
But how could that be? I had it connected to a power surge.

Before you think of replacing the motherboard ,1. call a technician to check the power jumper settings on the motherboard . 2. Check the power on/off button whether the contact is ok . 3. What is the rating of the power supply unit you are using ? Is it enough to power the board ?4. Hope you dont have electrical wiring problem .5.Try another power cable . good luck

Check to make sure the processor is connected properly, and the ram or memory. If that is all good and in place the yes the motherboard is shot.

Assuming you connect the power supply correctly, it's a dead motherboard. eMachines are like disposable computers, you get three years max.

Have you checked the power leads and the plug socket yet? If you dont know the tech way, use a kettle lead that you know works in a socket you know works, if then it still doesn't work, yeh it's probably died.

Did you verify that the surge protector still gives power (sorry if this question sounds insulting)
