Well, what happens in films where the star sings on camera is they record the singing in a seperate studio session and when they film the scene the star lip synchs to their own voice. The singing from the session is then edited into the film.
So she did actually sing the songs, but when she's on camera she is lip synching to herself.

It's Raoul in the wheel chair. The auctioneer announces after the monkey is sold "Sold for thirty francs, to the Vicomte de Chagny." Also, his face is normal. The flash backs are more partial to him than they would be to the Phantom, but with some imagination could fit for both, however it is Raoul in the end.

Her last name is Rossum. I believe she sang the songs in studio and during the filming, they play the song for her to sing or lip sync to. That's the way it usually goes.
I can't say for certain what she did on this film.

In movies with singing in them...they all lip sync...like music vidoes...if they snag the entire time...they would wear their voice out.Minnie Driver is the only one that didn't actually sing at all for the movie.
