My dad passed away like 2 years ago and I was hoping that if I have a baby girl have part of his name in it.
My dad's name was German, I had thought of Gernaliz but it just doesn't sound right.

Here are a few others

Geralynn
Gerika or Gericka
Geraldine

Which one sounds better and with what middle name would they soud good with?

They all sound bad
Was his name "German" or is his name a German name?
Please dont use Gerika...not cool.
Remember your kid has to live with this name not you. If I knew someone with any of those names back in middle school they would have been made fun of
I dont agree with these names but here are some other options...

Germaine
That's all I could come up with :)
...you could use German as her middle name??? Just a thought...

What was your dads middle name, maybe try out that also. You can actually find the feminine form of your fathers name, maybe look on-line or at a library. Geralynn sounds better out of those, its pretty. I honored my mothers name by using her middle name in as my daughters middle name, and chose my own first name.

No offense but lets think of your future child here. If you nam eher any of those names except for maybe gerika then she will be made fun of. I would definetly go with Gerika. Maybe Gerika Lynn. Another optionw would be to give her a middle name that is after your grandfather. My cousin was named after my grandpa. My grandpa's name is Jerry Lee and my cousin's name is Patrick Jerry....Just a thought.

If you want to name your child after your father, go ahead. My sisters middle name is Ryan, and I used to date a girl whose middle name was michael.

If Chris Martin can name his kid Apple, Im sure you can get away naming your daughter German.

I tried to make new names by rearranging the letters in your father's name...
I didn't come up with much...
Margen
Amgren
Grenma
You can almost make Megan (but the R is left out)

The aren't too cute... but just a new option if you can't decide on the others.

Have you considered the name Germaine?
Of the three you suggested, though, I like Gericka the best -- although it is a little odd. I'm a fan of the "ck".

My grandmother's name was Emilda so I gave my daughter "Emi" as a middle name (in Japanese it means blessed with beauty).

Having said that why not Ema?
If not, I vote for Geralynn.

Good luck
