At home, I usually use maple syrup (and, of course butter) or sometimes as a child I would use peanut butter and jelly on top of them and I remember that I loved those.
When I go out to eat at restaurants and order pancakes, I indulge with whipped cream and strawberries on top of my pancakes.

butter but just enought to make the pancakes stick together to form the most perfect stack of pancakes with fresh maple syrup from the sugar bush with fresh blueberries or fresh raspberries straight from the garden (washed of course), with the right amount of whip cream and a cherry on time, to make them as healty as possible. but come on its a breakfast food you can have a breakfast once in a while that is not as healthy as the rest

First of all, I like my pancakes cooked rare, still liquid inside. Then lots of butter and Steen syrup.
