I don't know if it falls into horror or suspense, but Intensity by Dean Koontz was the scariest, creepiest book I've ever read. I started reading it while I was pregnant and I was so scared I was actually afraid I'd transfer some weird vibe to my son, so I had to stop and pick it up after he was born!!!
