What do you do about your neighbor that just got an eviction notice yesterday!! I wouldn't be too worried about it, except they have two young girls and it is not their fault their parents are being irresponsible!! There are tons of good paying jobs here and for them to move will be so much more expensive than where they are now!! If they can't handle the rent here, how can they go anywhere else? The father has been off work for months , and there is no excuse for that!! If it wasn't for the girls, I would say, they get what they deserve!! But I care!!

It is my business, they come over here and visit all the time, the girls that is! They love coming here, because of all my pets and I let them both play games on the internet or our gamecube!! Their parents have even told me that they love visiting Lori!! They come and ring my door bell all the time, say they want to visit my kitties!! So yes, I think it is my business!!

I am not kidding, this city is booming, tons of jobs, that is why the rents here have gone up so much!! We are lucky, we rent a 3 bedroom place for $625. a month. Everything else here is over a grand and that is including basement suites!! If you want to rent a house here you are looking at $1500 a month plus utilities..... It is nuts!!!!!! You would be lucky to find that!!!!!!

its hard any time children are involved but as long as the parents are not hurting or neglecting the girls, there is not a thing anyone can do to *make* the guy get a job. if the kids have clothes and a sufficient amount of food in the home, no one can do much. im sure it is not completely rare for that type of thing to happen. at best you can pray for or talk with the girls. they have a chance of coming out on the other end and giving their own children a better life than their own (financially at least.) it shows that you have a good heart for caring though <3 and have faith that god knows what hes doing if youre at all religious!

The family needs free legal advice from a voluntary body. The Citizens' Advice Bureaux in the U.K. do this, - Canada must have something similar. At your local authority/mayoral offices, there may be a leaflet about voluntary organsations that should help.

It's good that you care, the world needs more people like you. However, you can't shoulder the responsibilities of someone else - at least not in this situation.
The kids aren't to blame, no. But sometimes there's really nothing you can do.
It sounds to me like maybe the parents need to go to rehab.
Good luck!

May I suggest that as an act of a compassionate neighbor that you insist that they move in with you.

unless you are able to take them in, there isn't much you can do, it's a sad story when parents are irresponsible
