I've started to get into Ska lately, and I'm looking for more good bands that fit this category. I'm already interested in Suburban Legends and Save Ferris. Any suggestions?

Your tastes suggests you like ska-punk more than Jamaican ska. Try these bands:

Big D & The Kids Table

Buck 0'Nine

Chase Long Beach

Dance Hall Crashers

Fabulous Rudies

Mustard Plug

Try some traditional ska as well. You might like it.
The Pietasters play both styles, plus Northern Soul.

I found all of these bands, plus more, at World Ska Resource on Yahoo Groups.

this all depends on the kind of ska your into. there's 3 different kinds. there's the original ska from the 60's, 2 tone, and third wave and punk. there are lots under each catagory. most people are into the punk ska so here are some: against all authority, big D and the kids table, less than jake, reel big fish, voodoo glow skulls, the planet smashers, goldfinger, and choking victim
enjoy...

If you're gonna get into ska, then you HAVE to go to The Source of it:

Desmond Dekker.

Then try Sublime, The English Beat, The Specials & The Selecktor. (sp?)

I can't add any to this. Only chiming in to emphasize that the first, I think it's 4 answers are fantastic. I just checked, all the ones above this one.

the one thing I can add is that if you're into the third wave type stuff then you should check out Operation Ivy. I'm not really into it, but they're really good at what they do. They were one of the groups that started the third wave.
