Yeah, somtimes it IS better.
Like, I LOVE giving people (my kids, other people's kids, kid's charities, animal charities) gifts...when I most certainly do NOT expect anything in return. THAT'S the best kind of giving!
If I were to receive GREAT gifts from anyone, I just feel endebted...."great, now what do I get THEM?"

Yes. For one thing, if no one gave, there would be no receiving. For another thing, to prefer receiving is basically selfishness. If you truly believe it is better to receive, then you'll probably be doing a lot less receiving. No one gives much to a jerk.

Yes, but people that do the giving have to believe in the concept of love, otherwise there would be no giving.

Yes, because if you can give that means that you don't want or need anything more for yourself, and that's a good place to be.
