I was just wondering why people were suprised I called it pop. Where I live (I live northerly) pretty much everyone calls it pop.

This is how I rank some well known names

Often:
POP
FIZZY DRINKS (one of few people who call it this)

Sometimes:
SODA
SODA POP

Never:
COLA
COKE
SOFT DRINKS

Where I'm from, it's 'POP'. But on the West Coast, it's 'SODA'. I say 'soda' because I lived in CA for so long... 'Pop' just sounds too weird.

In Florida, everything is called "Coke" even if it's root beer, Sprite or whatever. What kind of Coke would you like...wtf?
