Did you go to middle school or junior high?

uhhhhhhh I know you aren't all teenagers, as I'm not either, lol! I just wondered when things changed from being 'junior high' to 'middle school'...

both. my school was a junior high in 7th grade and then it changed to a middle school in 8th. The junior high school concept was WAY better. The classes were leveled, i was allowed a great deal of independence, and i felt as though it was preparing me for high school. In eighth grade, however, there were no levels except for math. It was a huge step backwards, making the transition to high school much more difficult. Everyone was put together, and the people who actually did their hw and were concerned about their grades were forced to work with people who could care less about school. It was an awful experience and i learned absolutely nothing the entire year, except for in math. There was no challenge and i got straight A's without even trying... which may sound like a dream come true, but it was the most boring experience possible. Also, we were split into three different teams so i had basically the same people in all of my classes, including my twin brother. It was a disaster. And being able to be part of a middle school and a junior high, i undoubtedly would prefer the junior high.
