It's probably best to format your computer (erase).
Put in your Window disc and allow your computer to guide you through formatting.

First thing you should do is install a Anti-Spyware/virus program to run a scan on your computer. Such as Ad-ware, Spybot Search and Destroy, which are free to download. www.bitdefender.com runs free online scans so I recommend that one as well. After the scan completes remove the items it found (there should be an option to do that within the program.)
Once that is done Go to Start Menu-->Control Panel-->Add or Remove Programs and search through that list to remove any unnecessary programs or programs that you don't use or recognize.
Also do a disk fragmentation and a disk cleanup so the hard drive could read files faster. You could do this by going to My Computer --> right click on the c: drive-->Properties. Disk cleanup is in the first tab and defrag is in the second tab (Tools).
Do these steps and see if that helps with your computer.

Hi,
Most likely your PC is infected with many things in many locations. Today's PC should have at least a firewall like Zone Alarm (it's anti-spyware scanning service is excellent), an anti-virus and anti-spyware programs running too.
If you can still use your web browser, I have a solution.
(1) Visit Microtrend's FREE virus, spyware and malware scanner. It will download a small program to your PC and let it run. Depending on the size of your hard drive, it can take from 30 minutes up to an hour. When it's finished, it will show you everything it detected and get rid of it for you. After that, do the scan again.
(2) After you get rid of all the bad things on your computer, go to the Downloads.com website and download the Ad-Aware free removal program. http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html
(3) Lastly, you might want to do a search here in Yahoo Answers on how to clean up your hard drive as Windows has many built-in tools to help your computer run better, faster.
Good Luck!

Ok is it really telling you that. First off you should not be online if you don't have an anti virus program. You can get a good free one at www.download.com (this is a legal one). Type in AVG in the search and make sure you download the free version, would also instal spybot. After install run both one at a time to scan your system. Also would get off net while doing this, would make it run faster.
