how do i know when my computer activity is being monitor?? at work.

monitoring is done from the company server on out and incoming signals. And most are set for keywords and to block certain sites. so if a (even good) site has a word they want blocked, and it picks up on the monitoring equipment your blocked from that site. some even log the time witch computer did it and the person logged into it.

You really can't unless you know the exact name of the monitoring program and keep an eye for that program in Task Manager all the time. They will usually not monitor your computer unless they have a reason to.

You can't. Your computer sends and receives "packets" of information, and if your employer has a computer/software to monitor and intercept that, there is NO way that you would be able to detect that.

most large businesses will monitor internet activity. if you work at a small company and your computer guy comes in once a week to eatr donuts and BS, probley not

Check the registry on your computer and services.

start->run type in regedit

and also go to administrative tools in control panel and click on services. You company can also hide the services so you have to know what you are looking for. Another thing you can do is basically turn on your internet firewall in network connections and block them from snooping but you have to configure it.

You will not know, that's the purpose of monitoring software to be invisible. One sure fire way of knowing is when you're escorted out of the building, that's a good sign....LOL
