well i am 12 and i am just wondering if there is like a average weight that most girls get their period?? i weigh 81 pounds..

Usually it is pretty common that girls will get their periods when they hit 100 lbs. I think this is because there is a minumum body fat percentage a girl needs to reach in order to menstruate. But obviously that's not always true. Some girls get theirs when they are only 80 lbs. I guess it just depends on when your body decides to start and when it thinks it is ready to possibly carry a baby.

It has nothing to do with weight(unless you are seriously underweight, in which case, you WON'T get it. Your body wouldn't be healthy and you wouldn't be able to have a period). It's all about YOUR body and how it works.

I'm assuming you have a small frame because 81 pounds sounds low to me, but i never paid attention to weight until I was about in 9th grade

Yes. 45 kg or 99 pounds is the minimum weight to start menses

I got mine when I was 13 and I weighed 115.

For the majority of people you have to be over 100 lbs. This is when your body is able to support a baby. i got mine when i was 95 lbs. though

as far as i know, weight has nothing to do with it.
