Usually this is caused by a loose cable - unless you have an older system (such as an NES)...

In that case, sometimes it is the system itself - and there's not much you can do other than replace it (as very people know how - or have the parts - to fix an old system).

I am an engaged guy that likes to play video games. When I had Madden and we would talk on the phone she figured out that I was Maddening her. Fast forward, Video games is something that is an instant reward, and the best way to get a quick feeling of accomplishment. Not to mention, a great way to do something competitivly. However when we are busy I don't even think about playing games. And when I don't see it I don't play it. Be stratgic and when he finshes playing put the game away so that he wont be able to see it. When you guys see youself home with free time go for a walk, or go to the park, or ask him to teach you how to play basketball and play with him. Sometimes my babe will say she wants to go play basketball but there is a game going and she says why don't you play? And I wnd up playing bball while she talks on the phone or walks the dog. Point is to distract him and keep him busy. :) Hope I helped.

TV video games such as:
PlayStation
X-Box
and others will eventually burn out sound and reception of your TV. Most TV's don't last more than a year, after using games on them.
I suggest you use some "Free Game Sites" on your computer. It is much more fun!. Some good sites are:

big fish games (this is my favorite. A new game everyday).
msn games (zone.com)
yahoo games
shockwave
pogo.com (will give you a free site, but will bug you about joining)
Good Luck!
