I can tell you what it costs me to travel, staying in hostels, eating out but hardly any drinking.
$100 a day gives me money to go to museums and do nice things once in a while.
If you go for self catering (sandies and cheap cooked lunches for treats,) you might get by with as little as $50 a day, but you would not have money for drinks, to take your hosts out for an afternoon or meal, and might go short of money all the time.

If you can bring more money, or have your parents send you money (put it in your account when you need it,) that is better.

Eastern Europe is cheaper.
Scandinavia, UK and touristy towns like Venice, Rome and Madrid will cost a lot.

60-75$ per day.
(35$ for hostels. And the rest for museums, food, transportation and stuff..)

it honestly varies from country to country and city to city. plus it depends on your exchange rate! you need to be a little more specific!
