Griffey is a good player whose problems have been health related in recent years. Thus far this season he has been healthy. He can make it if he stays healthy. I hope he does. He is a good guy.

Yes, I do! He is finally healthy (all black cats away) and has always been an immense talent and has such a sweet swing! He just might make a run at the homer lead in the NL too!!! Besides that he is a good guy in a sport full of idiots like Jason Giambi! Also, he does not currently have any type of steroid cloud over him!

Well, I am really curious about that statement. Consider Junior has 582 career homeruns (19 in this season),
I think he will surpass that mark this season.
He has been healthy as he was in Seattle so far.

If he stays healthy I think he can make a serious run at it. Of course, then the next question looms once he gets there: Can he make it to 700 HRs in his career...?

I'm not convinced he'll reach 600 in his career.
If he gets to 598 some day of any given season, and it's only July, that will build some confidence.
