I dont know how i got it but another account on my computer has a virus or something the desktop say "your privacy is in danger" and it has a big poison symbol. All the icons are highlighted and instead of an arrow pointer there is a hand. There are 3 desktop shortcuts to virus protection programs that I cant get rid of and I need to know what to do. Ive ran spybot and it said it got rid of something like that but it didnt. and avg doesnt seem to be detecting it. Help please.

Download the free version of Superantispyware. This software I use, and is known to find spyware & viruses missed by all others. No conflict with your own antiviurs or antispyware.

You will also get automatic updates.

Perform a complete scan of your system. When the virus is found and killed, reboot your system and you should be okay..

it sounds like hijack ware or ransom ware. avg wont see it because its not a virus. you need to try other spyware remover, ewdios or avg has a free spyware remover. do not use the ones on the desktop that just makes the problem get worse. stick with known spyware removers at majorgeeks.com or downloads.com
