I can't remember which song it is, but it's from the last couple decades. It was in the movie that the girl who plays Phoebe on Friends was in where she and her best friend go back for their high school reunion. But the punk cover is fairly recent. What is the name of the song, and who is the band that just covered it?

*I'm sorry that this is all of the info that I can come up with...

"Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" is the movie. Taking a peek at the soundtrack, I'm not thinking of any recent remakes...

1. Our Lips Are Sealed - The Go-Go's
2. Venus - Bananarama
3. (There's) Always Something There To Remind Me - Naked Eyes
4. Dance Hall Days - Wang Chung
5. Turning Japanese - The Vapors
6. Blood And Roses - The Smithereens
7. Karma Chameleon - Culture Club
8. I Want Candy - Bow Wow Wow
9. Everybody Wants To Rule The World - Tears For Fears
10. Heaven Is A Place On Earth - Belinda Carlisle
11. We Got The Beat - The Go-Go's

I've heard remakes of: Venus (actually THIS version's a remake too), Dance Hall Days, Everybody Wants to Rule the World & We Got the Beat.

Try the link I put here. They have the original soundtrack and a 2nd one. You can listen to all of them there
