With the growing Muslim populations in those countries and the fear spread by terrorist Muslims, yes I do.

We're fast becoming the USSR what with building fences around the country and requiring passports to drive from Canada, once glorified as the most open border in the world because we felt so safe from any threat coming from that direction.
Homeland security, straight out of Nazi Germany, And The Patriot Act which is requiring the equivalent of internal passports. How much more repressive can we get.
Jefferson said he was opposed to the enumeration of our rights. Firston the grounds that it was no more than a "parchment barrier" to the abuse of power. But secondly because not all of our rights could or would be enumerated, a judge (like Bork, Scalia, Thomas) would then conclude that the only rights we have are those on the list.
We're well on our way. Thanks W.

It's always possible. I suppose it's possible for some repressive regimes to become less so in the near future, too.

I think so. They have begun to press down on religious peoples and groups, as they think religion makes people 'unstable'. I personally think that they will become repressive and oppressive in the near future.

It will happen sooner than you think. I believe all democracies eventually turn into a repressive regime. The only way to stop it is to have constant revolution. Every 200-300 years or so.

Yes we are getting a bunch of those radical muslims here.
Look what they did to France? When they start blowing stuff up and government is going to over react.

Absolutely. There should be checkpoints at each point of entry of your neighborhood, district and city.
Thousands of policemen to demand special favors, and roust you everywhere you go.
Yep. That's what we need. Good ole' fashion repression.
So of course, the answer is "Yes."
