The blinking is usually a function of the video memory and/or the operating system rewriting after the window closes. It seems to be more evident on systems that share video memory with system memory.

If you are being monitored it will be done with tools like keyloggers that log your keystrokes to a file either on your computer or a server.

Also, they can monitor your Web surfing habits by logging all Web page requests (HTTP requests) that go across the network and then filter them looking for certain patterns/useages.

Neither of these activites have an effect on your use of the computer.............

The blinking can be a result of many things. However, supervision oversight is not likely one of them.

System Administrators are more careful and capable than that.

Management pays for your at work internet access, your pc, and your time at work. Use it for work not for recreation.

As a former Plant Manager and now a business owner of my own IT firm, I monitor my employees as part of good supervision. When I find violations they are discharged for cause. I have never lost a discharge or had to pay unemployement.

I suspect, from your quesiton that you would likely be the type of employee I would discharge for abuse of company propertyl
