I had it done last year and I love the results. The Dr can give you an idea of how small you can go and still look normal. I wanted a small B-but he said you don't want to go too small. If you have been having a lot of neck and shoulder pain. You can prove a medical necessity and most ins cover most of it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I can't see anyone wanting to carry around 2 small watermelons on their chest.. I wish you the best. If you get to have it done-I don't think you will be sorry .

I am having the exact same problem as you! I am a 36DD and would love to be a nice sized B or a small C. I'm pretty sure you can go down as many sizes as you'd like, but when you are naturally larger chested your body might not look as proportioned as it did before the surgery. If I were you, I'd pick a C... it seems to be a good size and you probably won't have a hard time finding swimwear, either. I'm pretty sure that if you are having back pain because of your chest size your insurance is supposed to cover it, but if you aren't having pain and it is simply for aesthetics than you'd have to pay out of your pocket which I think costs roughly around $5,000 depending on where you get it done!
Well, best of luck to you!

I had mine done 8 weeks ago and love it!!!!!!!!!
I went down 2 full cup sizes or 5 half cup sizes depending on how you look at it. I do not have health insurance so I paid out AU $11,500 for the surgery- this included my plastic surgeon, anaesthetist, assistant surgeon, hospital, theatre, medication etc. I was a 34G and am now a 34DD , had 500 grams of solid breast tissue taken out of each and 100 grams of fat out of each and now they are small, perky and amazing ( I know that yours are a DD and you are unhappy with them but that is a great size for me).
Meet with a couple of different surgeons to discuss your options and possible sizes and good luck .
I used this site a lot to look at the hundreds of before and after pictures of breast reductions

I haven't had it done but I used to work with a lady that had it done. Her insurance covered it do to back pain that they were causing. She loved it but about 5 years later after she had her first child they started growing back to the original size and stayed that way.

Yuck! It is a nasty operation.
But if you are determined; find yourself an excellent surgeon. You can go as small as the Dr. thinks would like normal.
And yes, some insurances will cover it. If you complain about back pain, etc.

You would have to talk to the PS, a B IS possible, but it depends on the tissue inside your breasts.
If he cannot safely make you a B, you would have to settle for what he makes you out to be.
Talk to at least three different PS's covered under your health plan before deciding on who to operate on you.
It cost me nothing, it cost my health insurance $8,000.
I had it done and I don't regret it one bit.

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
