I'm afraid there's really no other options but to use tampons.

The only days I would consider going in the pool without tampons are the last days of your period, when it's generally lightest. Use your best judgement--if it's heavy, DON'T go in the water. Even if it's medium.

All I can recommend besides tampons is wearing shorts over your bathing suit. Good luck!

Trust me, tampons aren't as scary as they might seem. I was terrified to use them but now it's no big deal. Just DON'T leave them in too long and DON'T put them in if you're too dry/light down there--they're best at the heaviest stage of your period, or you'll have some pain.

If you want to go swimming you are going to have to use tampons. Pads would just soak up the water as soon as you jumped in. Periods do not stop when you are in the water- it just washes the blood away. Tampons are really easy (just make sure to change them within 8 hours). There is no way to go swimming without a tampon.

Unfortunately you can't go swimming unless you use tampons honey. They are not nearly as scary as they seem...after using them a few times it will become quite natural for you. Read the directions in the box carefully, and if you still need help talk to a woman you trust. I would try tampax pearl (they are the easiest to insert).

Good luck!

There aren't many options other than stay out of the pool. Either that or learn how to use a tampon. Your mom can help you with that.

if i were you,
i would either NOT go swimming, or only go when your flow is light, or almost gone, on the last days of your period.
i personally dont wear tampons either,
but when you swim, the pressure in the water sort of creats a force so that your bleeding isnt as strong under water.
my suggestions would be to either try tampons, or just wait until your flow is very light.

but NEVER ever wear a pad in the water...
trust me.

If you want to go swimming, you need to try to use a tampon. A water soaked pad does not look good in a bathing suit. Or don't go swimming.
