Yes. The exact same thing happened to me. 42 stitches later.....AHHH! Every time I would go to the bathroom, it felt like all the stitiches were ripping out. I called my boss (Im an l/d nurse so I just called the doctor). She told me to come in and sure enough, I'd torn out 2 stitches.
If the blood is fresh (bright red) call your doctor. If it is darker red then it is just normal post-baby bleeding.
Use a peri bottle, tucks pads, and the non-burning spray they sent home with your from the hospital. Also try a sitz bath. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.

I had a baby 3 1/2 weeks ago. I'm still bleeding, some days are better than others. I tore a bit and needed stitches. The blood from #2's may just be from blood in the vaginal area. I know I thought I had the same problem but the blood tends to travel when you pee. (Not trying to be gross). This is my fourth baby as well. I remember bleeding atleast 2+ weeks with my first 3. It is normal, unfortunately. I hope things get better :)

Yes completely normal. I had a small baby my daughter weighed 6lbs 7oz and they had to use a vacuum to get her out. I tore like crazy. I had a 4th degree tear which is the worst. My recovery was like hell. Pooping was horrible since I tore all the way back there. Anyway, it's completely normal for it to be irritated everytime you go to the restroom. Mine would get irritated all the time not just while using the restroom. After 2 weeks though I remember mine was almost completely healed and wasn't bleeding much so maybe you should call your obgyn just to make sure your stitches didn't open up.

I didn't tear - they cut me, I had about 15 stitches and my son was 7lbs 4oz. I bled a lot, especially when I went to the bathroom. Depending on the degree of tearing you'll bleed for a while I'd think. I bled for about 3 and a half weeks... My son is now 7 weeks and I feel fine! It'll pass, everything you are experiencing is normal.
Just try to relax and stay off your feet as much as you can. The more you do throughout the day - the heavier your bleeding can be. Enjoy your little one.. they grow so fast!

Yes, it's normal and it will get better.. If you have a visiting nurse they should tell you how to do a sitz bath.. I would also recommend stool softners for a little while to make it more comfortable to #2... In the mean time flush that area with warm water and keep it as clean as possible... You should've gotten a little squirt bottle at the hosipital use that to clean the area with warm water and good luck/congrats.

That's very normal. Do you have some hemorroids (sp?)? If you have 'roids, they may tear a little every time you go. Drink plenty of water to keep your stools soft. You can even use stool softener if you like (Dulcolax) or eat lots of fruit. The best cure for hemorroids is to keep very clean, stuff a Tucks pad between your butt cheeks overnight, use Preparation H, and sit on your Boppy pillow, or buy a special 'roid pillow. Keep using that little squirt bottle from the hospital to keep your vagina and anus clean. I hope you feel better soon!

Defiantly normal that happened with my son, try a little warm water on the area after you have a bowel movement to keep it clean and ice pack on and off during the day ( very unappealing i know) and some over the counter pain killers ~~ Best of luck!!

Yes that soreness and bleeding is normal. Nobody really talks about how sore your butt will be. Take stool softeners to make it less painful when you have to use the bathroom.
