Try this out for size. When i was in the Army we had sheet exchange every week, but it was not both sheets. The top sheet & pillow case was moved to the bottom. The bottom sheet and pillow case were exchanged for fresh ones and placed at the top, and so the cycle went on. Then along came a new fangled thing called a duvet, and sheets became a thing of the past.

The old rule of thumb was once a week. Before fitted sheets, one method was to wash the bottom sheet and use the top sheet as the "new" bottom sheet, using the side that was next to the blanket. If you take showers everyday, guess it's up to you.

I also say atleast once a week. Its a good idea to have two sets of bed coverings so you can just swap them out and not feel rushed to wash and dry them before bedtime. Just think about the dust that is floating around or the dry skin, sweat, saliva, tears, etc, that you excrete or give off everyday or night. You will want to change them weekly.

I used to clean for a woman that had it down to a science- turn sheets once a week then reverse them and turn. Ugh. Same with pillow cases.
I sleep alone so i sleep on one side one week ...
Some college students i know have a bottom sheet they never change 'cept when school is over and sleep with a duvet cover. They say they shower every night so why change. Hmmmmmm.

It all depends how often you take a bath and what you do on your bed, other than sleeping. At least once a week is the recommended time.

If you sleep alone, once every other week.
If you sleep with someone, then once a week.
If someone had a fever or otherwise sweat, then each day it occurs.
And, always change the sheets if someone else will be using the bed (before and after).

I would say a least once a week minimum. Make sure you air out your bed every day for about 10min. so it can dry out. Dust mite like damp, moist conditions. If you have a cold I would change them sooner. Hope that helps Bye. BLUE

Yeah, once a week. My wife and I shower every night before bed so they tend to stay cleanish, but trying to change them more than once a week seems to be too much trouble and more than a week they just feel funky.
But it also depends on your climate. It is hot and humid down here, so we may get a little funkier than folks in cooler climates.
