Liberals think there is. They think that people are too stupid to make decisions for themselves, and must have the government hold their hands. Just ask Hillary, that's almost exactly what she said. And people want this to be our next president... horrifying.

No, but there is something wrong with a government abdicating its basic responsibilities, taxes so low that they build up massive deficits to burden future generations, government spending cut so much that it hurts vital government functions and services but still funds pork and corporate welfare, traditional values forced down your throat like the Taliban in violation of your freedom and privacy, local control that leaves poor or powerless localities helpless to face overwhelming problems like massive hurricanes, and a strong national defense that is horribly wasted on wars against enemies who aren't really a threat to us making us more vulnerable to the real threat.
So it depends on how you look at it.

The "strong national defense" is the #1 reason for your huge debt #2 is your huge corporations and rich billionaires who pay very little in taxes. #3 is your so-called "free market" rules that feed the rich and starve the poor...the others I like the huge "national defense" and their huge budget I do have a Huge problem with Brother Tim M. Murphy

Not a darn thing. Keep in mind, to everyone who said "Liberals disagree"... you're thinking of Democrats, and only some democrats at that. Mostly in Washington.
Think about the most liberal people you can imagine. What comes to mind for me are those living out in an ecovillage somewhere. Sustainable farming and all that. Local control, government out of their lives, and I'm sure they wouldn't turn down the lower taxes.

one by one:
1. "limited government" is a joke. We have the largest deficits in US history , our federal debt is 9 trillion dollars, thats $ 9,000,000,000,000. And thats WITH the accounting tricks ( of both parties to exclude medicare and social security obligations). So less government is not the issue for either party if one is truley aware of the reality of our massage over-spending. So if one realizes we spend 28 cents on every dollar printed for INTEREST on our debt, what family could live like that in the real world? In other words, its 30,000 for every man woman and child in this country, NOT counting interest or medicare or social security, so in reality its double - or 60,000 for each of us. Now if yoiur grandpa in the nursing home cant pay 60 grand- its 120,000 to you. Your 2 todlers don't have it? make that $ 240,000 you would have to pay to cover their portion of the debt.
2. Lower taxes? We have high taxes in user fees hidden taxes have gone up included in gasoline prices, less aide to state governments only SHIFTED THE TAX TO THE STATE INCREASES on homeowners, etc. and we don't have the services in return we used to have.
3. less gov. spending, yes less on americans and needs , more on bombs and hatred.
4. traditional family values - no one party has god on their side. Is it traditional family values to attack a foreign country pre-emptively? Start wars? When republicans , or democrats claim priority with god is so ridiculous.
5. local control- since when, power is more centralized now that we are expected to live in a state of terrorist fear and impending doom. Rights are taken away, wire taps , etc.
6.strong national defense- we spend one third of the total world expenditures on defense and sell a full one third of its weapons created ( along with russia). War is good for business, lets keep hate and paranoia alive! Its good for business!

Obviously there is, or people wouldn't hate Ron Paul so much.
Everyone else running for President is an absolute joke. Ron Paul does exactly what everyone has been complaining no politician ever does...telling the truth and expounding on deep, well thought out ideas. He doesn't just throw out cute little sayings and say only what the polls say people want to hear. He says what he believes.
I don't think anyone else running can even remember who they were when they entered politics, they have no soul.

Nope.
The only politician I see supporting all of that is Dr. Ron Paul.
All the rest speak with a forked tongue.
