No hidden fees, but that $9.99 price does not include tax; so, you're looking at a $10.69 monthly fee. And you can watch your dvds in any dvd player, whether it's your PC or the one connected to your TV.

I use Netflix and have not had any trouble with them.
I have received some disks that were cracked from age and use and scratched and I just sent them back and logged into the site and told them that they arrived damaged and they sent me out another copy right away.
You can keep the discs as long as you want (had one for about 2 months, just didn't get around to watching it).
I have the 3 discs at a time unlimited rentals per month plan for like $18 a month. I usually go through the 3 discs in a week so I usually get about 12 or so discs in a month. When I send in a disc I do get another in about 3-4 days. Awesome deal if you ask me.
The DVDs that they send are the exact same ones that you would be buying in the store. So you most definitely can play them in your DVD player for the TV as well as on the PC.
They also got this neat new feature where some shows you can watch on your computer nearly instantaneously. Just a small download to your Media Player and away you go. They don't have a huge number of movies online yet, but I have used it a couple times and while the quality is lessened due to my kinda slow connection speed it works great. Plus you get this part for free with your normal subscription at 1 hour per month per $1 of your subscription.
I haven't had any problems, didn't see any extra fees except for paying for DVDs that you loose. Of course if you really want you can just "choose" to not return it until you decide to cancel your subscription or manage to find it and send it back.

I have been a Netflix customer for over 2 years. If I return a movie on Monday, they get it on Tuesday and send another out the same day and I get the movie Wednesday. The only thing that I am not crazy about is, if it is a new movie, it can sometimes take a while to be able to get it. They put either "long wait" or "short wait" but either way, it is a "wait!" That would be the deciding factor for me is what movies will I be wanting to see because the ones just released will take a while to get!! Good luck on your decision.

The only thing you want to watch out for is a term called "throttling". Basically, Netflix looks at your renting habits and will try to make a profit by delaying the time it takes for you to get your movie. So, if you watch 10 movies your first month, you may watch 5 the next. That's why I did the Blockbuster method. At least you can go to the Blockbuster store and exchange the movies rather than wait for them in the mail.

Netflix is good cause you can get hard to find foreign films. Blockbuster on the other hand is more mainstream but you can return films to blockbuster and get some from the store while you wait for more films in the mail.
I like Netflix personally

tried netflix. didn't like it. took too long to get the DVDs. now we use the blockbuster online program. Love it!!! you get the DVDs in the mail and then you can drop them off at the local blockbuster and get the same number of DVDs from their collection (for free!) while you wait for the next set of DVDs to be sent to your house. we are never movie-less!
