My current favorite is Manny...even though he can be a big pain in the butt sometimes he is a great hitter and fun to watch. A close second would be Big Papi because he is a character and he looks like he is always having fun...just a big kid. My favorite player when I was growing up was Wade Boggs...I played third base and idolized Wade...I think I have close to all his baseball cards from when he played on the Red Sox!

I am fickle. Whoever is batting when the Red Sox are up.
Coco and Pedroia have made several stunning defensive plays this week, so they are tied for my defensive favorites. I hope that Dice-K, Wakefield and Beckett are tied for pitching favorites after this weekend.

David Ortiz...He's the MAN in the batting order...and Josh Beckett among the pitchers...They're both clutch...Dice K is making a case for Rookie of the Year

Coco or Pedroia...Pedroia is playing nasty right now and Coco is playing better than ever. If he can keep this up he could win a gold glove. The catches hes been making are insane.

I love Mike Lowell. He has the sweetest looking swing and makes plays at third base that are mind blowing. Not to mention he is a class act and plays the game the right way.

Jason Varitek. he's the complete player you look for in a catcher. he has good contact skills, descent power, he's the captain, he's a natural leader, and he's fa-nominal defensively. his ability to work with almost any pitcher is a characteristic only he could have. he's always prepared to the fullest and as long as he keeps it up, he's a sure in for Coopers Town!!
