I'm fine with failing in your eyes, methodos, but do you live up to your own expectations as you have for others?

first of kudos on a great question.

words: i think, i believe, i feel--if one really does think/believe/feel something, they just say so, qualifiers are not necessary except in the case that one needs to reassure themselves.

actions: unnatural consistency. you know, when someones theories or views are ALWAYS consistent, when there's no human 'shade of grey.' these types of people inspire my mistrust. there is no shortage of examples of public figures who behaved in this matter only to be shamelessly exposed as frauds later on. human nature is inconsistent, and anyone who goes out of their way to avoid that is going out of their way to hide something.

What I trust in people is the humorous sparkle in their eyes, and an overall impression of their sincerity. Everybody tells little white lies every now and then (though some people will foolishly deny that) but I don't judge the entirety of a person's character on that...

What makes me lose my trust in people is a "consistent" and "prevalent" habit of lying, and my experience of having them being mostly "unreliable."
Also, the hyposcrisy I see in people amazes me. I, myself, know that sometimes I don't practice what I preach (so to speak) and I know everybody sometimes falls short of that ideal.
So I readily admit when I'm wrong, or have no problem changing my perspective when I re-examine something, and find I was in error.
I hate it when people can't admit they might be wrong, and when they can't see the hypocrisy of their own behavior.

Great question...typical of you.

I know that I can trust people by what they tell me with their body language. Especially what they do with their eyes.

When I lose trust in another it is usually because of some underhanded or unscrupulous behavior on their part.

It is always so disappointing when someone betrays my trust.
What's a good way to get over be betrayed?

I guess when people are really inconsistentent. Or based on bad things I've seen or heard. It's all really personal. If I don't know a person well, then I won't confide in them. But if I know who they are and if I earn their trust, then I will tell them everything.

I trust that we are evil and that it comes out naturally.

I trust every one to fall short of my expectations.
