Should you be allowed to spend any money on your kids and spouse? Or should Dems direct that?

Actually we want to identify people who ask questions like this and make them pay 110% of their total annual income in taxes. If they don't it is off to the FEMA prison with them. Meanwhile Dems. will enjoy the fire protection, police protection, nice roads etc that comes from paying a fair share of taxes. We pay fewer taxes in the US than just about any other country and people still complain. When your president borrows and overspends you have to get money from somewhere. A slight, I said SLIGHT, increase in the taxes paid by the very wealthy wouldn't hurt them and would go a long way to helping the rest of us. But since the cons seem to think being greedy is a good trait to have we will never convince them. The scare tactic of "they'll raise your taxes" is getting old and people are not believing it any more or see a need to raise some to conver the runaway spending this Administration has done on their war. When do we pay for it? If not now, when?

No, raising taxes can be political suicide, as George H W Bush found. At some point, it's necessary to pay the bills though. The US just cannot continue to borrow and borrow. Both parties will raise taxes soon, but Democrats are more likely to put more of the burden on people making more than 200,000 a year than are Republicans.

Sure and I'm all for giving it to them as long as I can live by the barter system. It's the best system of trade on the planet in history. They can't tax it.

can you give us link to show thats what their policy is? Im all for lower taxes, but im also for decreased spending to go along with it, unfortunately niether aprty gives us that option
