did you ever play bulldog when you were at school ....?

Question

for those that dont know it, its when a crowd gathers at one end of the playground,one preson stands in the middle, when the crowd runs from one end of the yard to other , the person in middle must catch one of them,who then joins him in the middle,...!then theres two in the middle then three or four !

sorry after all that i forgot, should it be banned from the playgrounds ?

I don't think it should be banned, kids are over protected too much nowadays, I mean didn't they or were they planning on banning cheggies/conkers? That's just bloody stupid.

I remember playing bulldog yer, fun times. Few other favourites; tig, red letter, kick can, cops and robbers, Mr. Wolf. *ah memories* :P

im 32 and know it as british bulldog we used to play it as kids on the street too after school such a great game ,my boys 14 &15 still play now.

yes we used to play it good practise for rugby too , the most hmm interesting/violent was at our local roller-boot disco lol first place i ever heard Relax by Frankie , when u have over a 100 playing bulldog inc the older supervisors and u get taken waist height by roller-boots ....was great fun lol

yes i did as a kid, my 14 year old son has just told me they now play British bulldog, where you rugby tackle them to the ground sounds more fun.
and no it should not be banned kids need the ruff and tumble.

it was called british bulldog in my school i guess if it hadnt been banned the name would have been changed to bulldog by now so must be the same game and your description fits..

used to play it also, great fun. dont think they shud ban the game at all- and they shud bring back kiss catch!!!!! ah memories.....
