This is the mantra at my home. When ever I am irritated my husband will tell the children to help him cheer me up because "when mom is happy everyone is happy". It is true. When I am happy I am more inclined to go out of my way to make a nice dinner, keep the house clean, rub the hubby's feet, play games with the kids, etc. When these things get done because of my happiness the rest of the family benefits.

You're absolutely right!! I am the queen of my castle, I love my husband but he is merely the prince. I am the one running this house, and spend the most time with my children, so what I say goes period. If something makes me unhappy my whole family suffers. Everyone including my husband must do whatever it takes to make me happy again. No ifs ands or buts about it.
