Wed night I got a call from a guy who said I was chosen to recieve a free $1000 shopping spree, and 3 free magazine subscriptions. I had a feeling this was a scam. Well he said they would send out the stuff in the mail in 5 days, so I said ok, then he said his boss was going to call me to make sure everything was good. So the boss called back a few min later and goes over everything with me, and then.. says that I have to pay for Time magazine every week in order to get this shopping spree and other magazines. He said it would be about $15 a month, and asked me how I would like to pay for it. Well I was not going going to give someone my credit card info over the phone, so I told the guy I did not have my credit card with me, so he said he would call the next day..

Well he called yesterday at about 6, And he wanted my credit card info again, but I told him that I wanted to see written proof of the deal and that I dont like giving my credit card info over the phone, then he said that they only do business over the phone, and they would not even email me anything. Well then I told him that I had changed my mind and I did not want to do it because I dont want to pay for the magazine that I dont want. Then he got an attitude with me, and said that I already agreed to go through with it yesterday, which I did not! Then he said that if I did not agree to pay for Time per month they would bill be one charge of like $832!!! I have never given my credit card info to sites I did not know about and trust so I dont think that they have any way of charging that to me.
Should I just wait and see if they do charge me, then call my bank?

It's a scam and they are trying to pressure you, besides you never signed anything and wisely did not give your credit card number. There is no such thing as free in this world. Next part of the scam is after a few month to a year YOU have to cancel the subscription, or will be charged the regular price. If he calls again tell him you will be reporting him. Report him then to your congressman who will file a report with the Attorney General. A relative of mine quit a satellite dish company and after a few months they started calling him day after day, saying they where going to keep calling until he resubscribed, one E-mail to the congressman who contacted the Attorney General, and poof no more calls

Total scam. Since they never got your credit card or bank information, you don't owe them a thing. Let them send you a few magazines, then a bill. Your state's attorney general knows this is a common way to convince a person they have to pay.

You don't have to pay for anything you did not order and agree to pay for.
