My theory is that Coulter has finally become so completely whacko that even right-wing nutjobs can't take her seriously anymore. She's been headed that way for a long time. As a shock-jockey right-wing politics equivalent of Howard Stern, she's had to make more and more offensive statements to get the same amount of attention, because otherwise people get bored with her. Now she's probably reached that critical point where unless she says something so offensive that the rightest of the right don't agree with her, nobody will care or listen.
It's about damn time.

It's gotten pretty bad when you are so far out in right field that Fox News won't even have you on any more.
Actually, she is probably having post-operative "issues". Things like this happen when you have your soul removed......among other things.
