How did they ever get a sequel made for either. The Saw movies were scary and well thought out. I also liked the new "Hannibal Rising". If anybody read Hannibal they'd know that this was in the book but was cut out. The whole "How Hannibal became the monster he is".

There are 2 styles of horror movie - the gorey bloodfest and the paranormal evil/devil worship. I personally find the bloody ones to be dull with certain exceptions like Saw because it actually had an interesting plot. Movies like The Ring or The Exorcist (never saw the grudge) do give me a chill though because the supernatural events effect more than just the flesh - they affect the soul - something I believe in and which I'm guessing you don't so much.

I think "The Grudge" was scary in the moment, but after walking out of the theater, it was the dumbest movie ever. It made zero sense at all...unlike Saw, which had a logical beginning, middle, and end.

When I saw the Ring, I was really scared. It scared the bejesus outta me. But it's not scary anymore, because we've all watched it like--- 10 times now. The Grudge was never scary for me, I thought it was pretty stupid

The Ring scared me and I'm not entirely sure why it did. I don't understand why they made a sequel of it, though. The Grudge didn't do a thing for me, other than give me a headache.

The Grudge was definitely scary. The Ring on the other hand was scary at first and then I noticed it's flaws.

Well, watch the originals. The Grudge is originally Korean and The Ring is originally Japanese. They are really scary.

The only thing that creeped me out was the way those girls moved. like the one coming down the stairs. I'm 37 friggin years old and that shi* gives me the willies.
