A guy recently came up to me and my friend im 17 and shes 16 and said to me" dotn take this the wrong way but she looks older than you". For some reason that translated to me that im ugly and barely developed. does that usually mean that in guy language? IS there like a hidden meaning. He told us both that we were beautiful sooo

It means she looks older than you. Perhaps you have a baby face, don't take it so personally after all he said you were both beautiful.

it doesn't mean anything beyond the literal. guys usually just say what they mean. if you look for the hidden meaning, you're usually wasting your time. we're pretty transparent. he was just trying to get with you and/or your friend and trying to make conversation. you might not like looking young for your age at 17 but when you're 30-something and still getting carded for drinks, it will make your day. just enjoy it. take it the right way-as a compliment. youth is something you can't get back once you've lost it.

Don't read too much into it. It seems as though you are a bit insecure to "get" that from what he said. Learn to love yourself for who you are and be the best that you can be. That is all any of us can do in this life. Also, you still have quite a bit of maturing to do. Relax and enjoy your life where you are. Trust that things will work out in the end and don't be too concerned with how people view you, there will be people who love you for exactly who you are.

Oh, don't read too much into this. It was just a comment. Maybe she had on makeup and you didn't. Or she has a hairstyle that is more adult than yours. Or she may just look older. She won't care now about that but she sure will in about 10 years!

If he already knew you were older than she, then I'd take it as a random comment of observation and nothing more.
If he didn't know your ages, then perhaps it was a compliment to her...either way, it doesn't sound like anything worth over analyzing or worrying about.

We guys are pretty simple. If we say that she looks older or you look younger, then that's just what we mean by it.
There are no double meanings. We say what we mean and that's all. You're trying to read too deep into a simple statement. Don't worry about it.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe it means, "she looks older than you". We've come to the point in our society of believing everything but the truth. Why "read" something into it??? The statement was simple, "she looks older than you", PERIOD!

He could mean she looks more aged[in tha face]]
He could mean developement....but who really cares if you like your body???
Could be a compliment to both of you.
Whatever shape or from you are, your still beautiful.
