Your fish will really appreciate a balanced diet. It will improve their color and their activity. Be careful though, the Angelfish might eat the Neons as they get larger.

Do you have to feed your fish bloodworms? No you do not HAVE to do that. You probably want to mix up thier diet though and not just flakes all the time to get the best results. Give them a feeding of blood worms once a week. Give them some krill on another day, With that population, try some freeze dried tubifex, not the live culture, but the cubes every now and then as well.

You're Algea eater should be just fine, and they won't eat just algea alone, they do eat other foods. They will scavange off the bottom excess uneaten food.

So you are worried you ancistrus (Pleco) hasn't grown... Some grow 1 inch in a year. Don't expect them to grow a lot in 2 months, some don't even grow one millimeter in 6 months.

And yes most fishes eat bloodworms and they make fishes (NOT plecos) grow faster in my experience.

I have a fiddler crab [I used to have 2, but one died yesterday] and I feed him the Wardley's shrimp meal pellets and he seems to like it. It seems like he has grown. My sister has a Gold Barb fish and it eats Hikari pellets. It goes crazy whenever it sees it's food, so he apparently likes it. :]

BEST OF LUCK!

You do not *have* to, but fish do enjoy variety.

Your bristlenose pleco would benefit from the supplement of algae tablets, as well as fresh vegitation (see link for specifics).
